Nature-walking specialty . . Introducing the Spartak Mountains Sports Club in Szabadka
If you're unsure about the language or anything else regarding the event, please contact the event organizer for confirmation.
The Spartak Mountains Sport Club in Szabadka has served the lovers of hiking and mountaineering for more than two decades. As a member of the Serbian and Vojvodina Mountains Association, the club offers active recreation in six classes: walking, climbing, rock climbing, sports climbing, hiking and performance hiking.
The aim of the club is to make the joy of movement and the proximity of nature available to all age groups. On three occasions a week, the older generation is mainly represented, while their sports climbers and country jockeys achieve outstanding results in national and Balkan competitions.
The more than 50-year tradition of the Palic Mountain Climbing Meeting is linked to the club, as well as the Day of Walking event, which attracts thousands of participants each year. Spartak members not only conquer the peaks, including five 8,000 mountains, but also actively participate in ecological actions and community initiatives.
The club and its activities are presented by Károly Calbert, Vice President of the Spartak Mountains Sport Club, who has been a committed organizer of Vojvodina nature-going life for decades. During his community work he pays particular attention to the involvement of the older age group and to the promotion of young people's attitudes towards sport.
In the second part of the performance, the highest point of the Julian Alps in Slovenia, the Triglav peak (2864 m), is an inspirational story of endurance, community and passion for nature.
We welcome all interested parties!
