Rózsa Jodal, a versatile writer whose work spans several decades and is rich in palettes: novels, novels, fairy tales, sounds, reviews, radio dramaturgy. Its works are dedicated to generations of children, young people, adults, and many faces of the human soul, questions of society, relations between the past and the present and the future.
He was born in Szécsány in 1939 and moved to Versec and Novi Sad, where he studied and worked. He formed Hungarian literature and community life in Vojvodina for decades as a writer, editor, radio dramaturg, critic and receptionist. His work was rewarded with several significant awards, such as the Herceg János Literature Prize (2019), his oeuvre, the Szirmai Károly Literature Prize (2020) and the Hungarian Tree of Life Award.
We organize the event not only as a presentation of a single book, but also as a summary of Rózsa Jodal's oeuvre, in the framework of an evening where not only can we hear details from his works, but the writer himself will tell us.
During the discussion, we recall the writer's beginnings, children's and youth publications, radio-dramaturgie works, stories of everyday life in Vojvodina, as well as dilemmas, creeds that inspired his writings, and which still inspire us to this day.
Moderator of the evening: Anikó Bird, editor of the art programs of the Novi Sad Radio, who is an active cultural soul, especially in theatre, literature and Vojvodina public life, thus promising a dynamic, sensitive and contemporary discussion.
Since Rózsa Jodal's work is closely related to the Forum Publisher, Director Péter Antalovics also honours the author with her presence.
Date: February 12, 2026 at 18:00.
At the end of the evening, according to our tradition, a toast and informal conversation closes, giving the audience the opportunity to meet the writer in person, ask questions, share impressions, and sign books available on the spot.
